Gardening With Old People

With MJPC or whatever, I went to one of their low income housing for seniors in the city and we helped mulch and plant their outdoor garden. They provided us with iced tea and lemonade and invited us back for th happy hour they have every Friday at five. I was amused.

Bagged Food for Food Pantry

I went with One Brick, an organization where don’t have to make a long term commitment. It was really fast and I felt like I helped, though they had so many people that they didn’t strictly need me.

The Library Never Called

The Webster Library never called me. However, I am doing another volunteer activity having to do with books. I am helping out with the Jewish Children’s Book Conference in November. And I am helping with publicity before hand, but I don’t know how. I guess I’ll find out.

Webster Library

I filled out the paperwork to volunteer at the Webster Library, which is part of the New York Public Library, but they haven’t gotten back to me.
