Sure I can get along, but the thing they don’t tell you about italy, is that they only speak Italian in Florence. Italian is the dialect from Florence. Every region, province, and town has their own dialect. Here in Abruzzo, people who live only 5km from one another can’t speak to eacheother. Oh they try their Italian, but mine is better than theirs. For example, in Italian one might say, Andiamo di mangare pranzo. Let’s go eat lunch. But in my town they say Awaw, yaam a manya. They don’t use articles and they drop endings. To say you are fluent in Italian either means, you are from Florence or you are a foreigner who learned Italian and therefore you really aren’t fluent. It’s so depressing.
