It’s absolutely fine with work.
People are working away with piercings, tattoos and all the rest of it.
Roll on payday!

Roll on payday!
I’ve got the job which means I will soon have the cash.
Just need to check that it’s something work will allow.
I’ve never seen anything at the cinema to suggest otherwise, but I will check :]
(Meaning if I find myself a nice job)
I’ll get this done in a couple of weeks.
Maybe both, maybe just one.
Going to wait until I come back North of the border after being home in a couple of weeks, so that there’s no nasty surprises for the family!
The extra money is only for an extra blood test.
They don’t charge per piercing, per tattoo, per anything like that.
It’s just for another sample so that they can check for Hepitatis B & C.
So I can definitely afford to put that towards my medical.
I’ll run it by my mum to check I’ve got the details right, but kids, we could be good to go.
If we can’t afford the medicals by mid-July, I’ll go get my lip pierced and then just put the £100 extra cost towards the medical myself.
It’s only fair.
Australia is my family’s dream and much as I want tattoos and piercings now, I won’t make them pay for them in any way.
It’s costing my family a fortune in police checks, medicals and applications. I want to put something towards it.
I can’t get my lip pierced for another few weeks.
It apparently adds cost onto the medical exam we’re having for the Aussie visas.
Can’t afford to get it done as planned next week.
I forgot about paying board to my mum as well as saving money to pay off my overdraft.
I can feasibly get it within May though, hopefully before Slam Dunk on the 24th; perhaps earlier that particular week so the swelling is down?
Anyone got any recommendations about how to deal with the swelling? I’m guessing sucking ice is a safe bet?
As I apparently start university in very early September (I thought it was late September; the bonus of the early start means I’ll have made friends by the time my birthday rolls around ;]) and I don’t want to have to deal with early stages of healing during Freshers Week, I’m going to get it done this summer.
Most likely early August so that it’s definitely at least halfway to healing by the time Leeds Festival rolls around.
I’ll tell my family first, but they’re not particularly going to stop me doing it.
I’ve got the money, but what I’m bothered about is my family.
They won’t turf me out or anything, but I know they don’t want to have to look at a lip piercing everyday.
My grandad would hate it and that bothers me.
So basically, what’s going to happen is I’m going to wait until university starts in September.
Get it done with my best friend as a symbol of starting again and becoming my own person again.
She has to wait until she finishes work to move away to university and she asked me to come too when she gets it done.
So that’s the plan right there :]
