So last night me and my roomie and 4 of my other friends spent 3 hours filling up about 600 waterballoons. We kept them minimally filled so that they would have a hard time breaking. They ended up filling up the whole bed of my pickup truck. I also went to the plus-sized store (Casual Male: Big & Tall) and bought two of their finest, cheapest, size 50 waste pants. I took the younger guys from church out and we adorned the slacks, ducktaped the bottoms tightly, filled them with water balloons, and ducktaped the waste extremely tight. Then, we sumo wrestled. The faux-sumo suits were extremely cumbersome, which made for some great wrestling matches. The wrestling eventually decayed into an all out waterballoon war. After it all, we hit my basement and sang some worship songs, read the Bible, and had an epic pillow fight.

I’ll be off to hang out with Jeremiah and possibly several of the other younger guys from church. I had to because he came up to me after church and asked if I wanted to come over and hit rocks with a metal baseball bat (he actually spent about 5 minutes explaining to me how amazingly fun it was to do and what was involved and how we had to go to the back of his yard because his neighbors got mad at him before for hitting rocks into their yards). How could I turn that down? So we’ll probably be doing lots of that and also racing his remote control cars. All in all, a lot of just generally giving then a tangible role model to ascribe to—someone who is not too far removed from them in age. I hope, through my example, to let them know you can be a Christian and still enjoy life (seems so simple, right); something that was never conveyed to me when I was their age.
