become a filmmaker

ok, i just ordered a 16 lesson dvd course in filmaking. its supposed to be very very good for someone who hasnt started filming anything. the independant reveiws were very good so i am looking forward to starting!

i also found a good film certificate program with BC. its a 9 month program, doable part time in 18 months. i am working on how to configure my life to make this program possible. i JUST started a bachelors program for business. im supposed to commit 2 years to this, but just one day a week EVERY week, with lots of homework. i suppose if i ignore some other resposibilitys in my life… like ones to my family… i could do both at the same time. since reality is a bitch, i need to think of a better solution. don’t worry, daughter of mine, dinner will be on the table!

i made a large list of books to get me in the right direction and started reading the first.

mabye when im done with school, and my family has a little more moeny, we can get some equipment and tool around some.

thankfully my wife wants to translate her expected hospital nursing experience into gore makeup!

my Dad has actually been encouraging this school of thought. he has tons of art recruiters sending me stuff and calling. i think he realizes im just wired different than the rest of the herd and probaly would fit much better into some sort of carrer alternative to the norm. i think i may try to do this after i get a degree in something else.
