Collect unique movies

I also picked up Bobcat Goldthwate’s SLEEPING DOGS LIE. Bobcat shot it on the cheap in 16 days. Pretty good movie when you consider that. I liked it because, while it may just be another romantic comedy on the one hand, it had a totally unique story on the other.

Just picked up PRIMER. excellent indy flick that realistcly portrays time travel as a science. I have to watch it again beacause it lost me a little in the end but at least i have it for my collection…

i want to start expanding my movie collection again. i like alot of strange horror flicks, but they dont have to be horror. i just want to collect movies you wont likely see in blockbuster (not that they get my business anymore) unique films, old movies, the strange… the bizarre… gorefest, sexplotation or animie, asian, under ditributed films, under loved films — cult classics, B&W classics and the like….

i’ll have to keep record of what i’ve been collecting. i tend to have waves of genre or type. i.e. nothing but classic movies for a while, then nothing but cheesy campy crappy b-movies for a while.

i’ve stopped renting for a while. i think im just going to purchase. i’m thrifty too so i’ll probally be looking for a lot of low cost movies. its a good thing i’m looking for the unloved.

amazon.com’s used movies are looking pretty good lately. i can only afford so much at a time so i am creating a list of what to get and adding to it every day.
