Let's hear it for consumer space travel!

I want to get out of the atmosphere, fly high enough to see the curvature of the earth, and experience the “big blue marble” effect.
I want to look at the places I’ve lived on both coasts of the U.S. and see them all in one eyefull.
I want to watch the terminator (the dividing line between daylight and night) march across the continent.
The success of Space Ship One is inspiring. I hope we’ll see affordable consumer space travel happen in my lifetime. Richard Branson, are you listening?
