Okay, a first step... 2 years ago

I have to admit first and foremost, I have one problem with Amnesty International, and that is the death penalty. I am a huge supporter of the death penalty, and so far as I understand Amnesty International is vehemently opposed to this. I understand that the use of the death penalty in most oppressive nations is obviously prone to be used entirely unjustifiably and it is also obviously non-reversible, but still, theoretically I support it.
So for this reason I haven’t yet joined Amnesty. Otherwise I think it is the best organization on earth and human rights and justice are the most important issues that can ever be discussed, followed closely by the environment. So that said, I bought the Instant Karma : The Campaign to Save Darfur album (this is a link to iTunes). A start… We will see if I can let go of my death penalty issue long enough to join such a worthy cause.
