Although I am not sure… I think we need to flesh out our cult a little more before we take on members. After all, we do not want our cult co-opted and taken over…
Still, I am not so sure I really have time to put into the cults activities right now, it may interfere with work and getting the kids to school on time…
That said, if not now, then when? Am I ready to assign this goal to the pile of goals that I am not working on, just another goal without a drive?
There is no better time than the present to add some ideas and ideals to the cult…
To recap we have:
So it is decided all people who want to join must send us a photo of themselves wearing their home designed togo
Someone could say, ‘que es mi dios la lbertad’, and the response is ‘mi ley, la fuerza y el viento’ (my law is force and the wind). All of this said over a guttering candle in the back of a rickety canal front dive, 2 shots of scotch on the table and 2 mugs of what may very well be some ale. Only then could we get down to cult business…
I have no problem with the burning of the wicker Edmund Burke, but I recommend that the person who is in charge of the ceremonies for the night (we need a name for this person…) have chosen the person whose effigy is to be burned, remembering that the goal is to honour the Sublime and Beautiful in life…. I like the dancing, and the more whirling in ecstatic devotion that we can include the better.
Clearly here is where the wine comes in, and I think that given the evenings earlier pursuits of enlightenment and sophistication (in its most antequated terms) this would call for an overindulgent spree of… well… indulgence…. I do think some secrecy as to what happens in these later evenings is important, both because first secrecy is cool and second, I am not sure exactly how indulgent we want our cult to get. Could get weird.
Also a higher purpose must be identified, and although I am a fan of space prupolsion devices, this has been done to death by too many cults before us (see Heaven’s Gate and Scientology).
So, the new thought I was thinking about is some dichotomy of mind and body, some juxtaposition of cerebral with physical, a separation of mind and body. We have discussed the enlightenment, so the theme for the second part with be sensualism… I don’t think I have any desire to define that, but to leave it open…
Thoughts, feelings, issues, new business?
M.
