well, I can’t remember the last time I wrote about this, but i’m basically a beginner at the Blue slopes. I’ve been getting better but since i had an “accident”, I have been taking it easy. Basically I just was goin REALLY fast and caught my heel-side. I landed on my back REALLY hard. I’m pretty sure I cracked/bruised a rib so falling is a REAL bitch now.

Last friday was goin well until I fell when I was trying to ride switch. I’ve been doin okay with riding switch, but i had an innocent fall that just re-aggravated my injury. So, again, I pretty much lost my breathe and had a hard time breathing again. Sounds nasty huh?

I’ve gone to the mountain about 15 times. I wanna go this friday but we’ll see. I’ll probably end up goin, but just take it easy. Although, it gets boring rather quickly. I’ve been tryin nosepresses, tailpresses and ollies. Someone suggested tryin to do a ground 180 and when I tried it the last time i was out… I only did like a 110, LoL… I have to get more daring if i’m gonna try anything tho. I guess the only thing holding me back is my fear of falling (so i don’t re-aggravate my injury)... But whatever. I guess it depends on how much energy i have.

Well, i’m leavin, but if anyone has any tips, comment. Later!

So i've been... 23 months ago

out 7 times now and i’m doing green runs, doing S-turns and i love it. Of course today was the last time I went and it was just really slushy out. Some parts were icy so it made it tough cuz i’m still not used to different types of terrain. Trick wise, i’m not tryin to do TOO much but once in awhile i’ll try to ride fakie and its TOUGH but thats okay. i know I have to learn it someday and if i know how to turn regular, i’m sure i can teach myself fakie. i can sorta do land 360’s which are fun but i have to be going really slow in order to them. I can ollie just barely and I just have to be pretty much stand-still when doin them.

But basically, my first lesson was free and I did really well. I still had a hard time those first couple days but it definitely got better. I got frustrated again and finally got a lesson on my 5th day and it helped out a LOT. I think I was definitely a lot better after the lesson. I might get another after my 10th time out just for someone to critique me.

I guess now i’m starting to turn better and adjusting my turns better so i can actually gain speed and its a great feeling. Anyway, I don’t know what to type anymore but if anyone reads this and has suggestions for me. Please feel free to help.. Ciao…

I decided... 2 years ago

to do this back in August (I think) and since then, I have been waiting SO patiently for it to snow. I’ve never been snowboarding before and I think i’m quite capable of doing it. I don’t know what type of style I’m gonna go for, but I know I like to go FAST but yet, I don’t know if I’ll like the freestyle aspect of it either. Either way, it will allow me to enjoy winter again and give me something to do. So, I got the gear, the season pass and now I”m just waiting for the resort to open up December 1st. Of course, this all depends if it snows or not. Wish me luck…
