learn to drive

I took the written test back in March. I had to take 3 buses to get to the DMV. I woke up at 5:30 or 6, and then I made it to the place by 9. I was there until almost 1 PM!! Plus, I had to pay $50 to take the test. Ouch.
The good news is that I passed the test and I now have my permit. :)

I started driving school last Sunday (5 days ago). It was $350! Classes are from 9 AM to 12:15 PM. I tried to find the nearest driving school and even that one was far from where I live (I live in a residential enclave in MD).

I have to be out of the house by 7:10 AM, walk a bit over a mile to the nearest bus stop, take the bus to the nearest Metro station, take the Metro to the station closest to the school, and then walk to the school. I have to do everything in reverse to get home, and all of this on what used to be my day of rest. So, yeah! It’s not the ideal situation, but it isn’t bad. I’m used to walking and once the weather warms up, it will be fine, fine, fine. :-D

I have the DMV books and I need to study for the knowledge test. I plan to take the test this coming Tuesday. Aaack!
