Today was my last day at the gym. I’m moving soon, although I’m not exactly sure when. So I’m not renewing. I went out pretty well though.
I ran 6.5 miles straight, no stopping, no slowing to a walk. I think I could do it again, too, except that I didn’t have the time to spend another hour running. I thought about it.
I used all my favorite pieces of equipment, as if saying goodbye. I hope when I move I’m able to find another gym that I really like. People, atmosphere, equipment. Not just trying to work out or lose weight.
Anyway, it’s sad, and I don’t know how long it’ll be until I can go to the gym again, but hopefully not too long.
There are other things I can do in the meantime.
Today I fit into a pair of jeans that I haven’t fit into since before last summer. Yay!
I haven’t lost any weight in forever, but I did go down a pants size. Hey, that’s cool.
Finally some results!
My workout pants don’t fit me anymore. Not only have I lost a couple of pants sizes, but I also get to buy more pants. Very exciting.
On my way out of the gym this morning, a woman I sometimes talk to said, “I can tell you’re losing weight.” That made me feel really great. I haven’t noticed a difference, but I see myself constantly. So that was very motivating.
For about a month now I’ve been going to the gym 5 days a week and 3 of those days I do strength training after my cardio workout. What I love is when the weight goes up. I could only move 45 pounds with my legs when I started and now it’s 60 already. That feels awesome. Things are moving slower with my arms. I wonder why that is? It doesn’t matter. I feel better about myself and I’m keeping up with it. Yes!
I’ve been going to the gym for about 3 weeks now, and I guess I feel a little better, but it’s frustrating that it is such a slow process. Luckily I love working out, so I’ll keep it up. It’ll be an added bonus once I’ve finally seen some progress.
Today I went to the gym for the 3rd day in a row and after doing some cardio I used some of the universal machines and then worked on one of those awesome exercise balls. The best thing, I feel great! I feel like maybe this time it will actually happen and I’ll be in the shape I want by summer!
I joined a gym last week. I’ve gone 3 days already and I don’t see myself stopping any time soon. I’m not just doing elliptical or treadmill either. I’ve also been doing resistance training in order to be able to get in shape. This is something I really want to accomplish. Starting it was step 1. Now I just have to make sure I keep going every week.
It feels really great.
