If I write a fiction book, then I hope people write fanfiction about it, because then I could, like, email the authors of the best ones and, like, give them kudos, and maybe encourage them to become professional writers.

And they’d be all, “OMG Julia totally just emailed me!”
And their friends would go, “The author of ‘Bookidy-blah’? No freakin’ way!”
