paint a picture

I’ve moved this goal up on the list too. I have decided on a landscape so got out my old box of snapshots to see if there was inspiration there and there was. Now I’m thinking a Fall picture with an old barn – lots of colourful leaves, blue sky. I’ll make up the picture and use many photos for detail.

My sister was telling me about the new bedroom furniture she’d bought and out of the blue, she asked me to paint a picture for her room. I can draw and I have dabbled in opaque watercolours, but I have never seriously “painted a picture”. Suddenly, I agreed to do it. Now I have to think of the subject matter. This will be really interesting because I’ve always thought I could do this but I have never tried. But as Yoda would say “do or do not – there is no try”. So… landscape, still life, allegory, portrait. The list is endless.
