Pay off Perkins Loan

This morning, I wrote a check that will pay off the last of my student loans (15 months ahead of schedule!) At the ripe old age of 31 – I am DEBT FREE and the proud owner of my education!

This puppy is 85% paid and should be 100% paid by June
(1 year ahead of schedule!)

Now that the Federal loan is paid – I can focus on the Perkins. Having this baby paid off by the end of 2006 is very ambitious, but I’m hoping to make a big (REALLY BIG!) payment in September, and another big payment in December.

Fingers are crossed!

One more payment went out today.
(Three more to go!)

This loan is due quarterly. So, when the statement arrives in the mail I make a big payment, and then do all the other pesky quarterly chores (buy a new toothbrush, bring my car in for an oil change, as well as watering the cactus, fertilizing other plants).

In a way, I’m going to miss this loan.
(My plants are going to miss it even more!)

Scheduled to have this paid off by the end of 2008, but I’d like to have it paid by the end of 2006.
