I've really let myself go...... 2 years ago

This one is pretty high on my list, it’s both a practical short term goal, and a more profound long term goal. Regular excercise is one of those things one should learn to do as a child and carry on into adult life; I never did that.. consequently the older I got, the more my metabolism slowed, the less I excercised. OK; I’ll be the first to admit…I never excercised alot, but lately I don’t excercise at ALL. I was so proud of myself a couple of years ago when I excercised three times a week and within a few short months lost forty pounds. I was so damn happy I took a few days off and never went back to it. Now I’ve not only gained the forty pounds back, but gained an additional 25 pounds!!!!

I must walk everday.
For starters I’ll be happy if I make it three times a week, which should be about every other day. The only way I’ll make it every other day is to set my goal for every day.

10,000 steps a day is when health benefits begin.
It hurts for me to walk a quarter of a mile right now.
Last week I bought a pedometer – I’ve not made 10,000 steps a day yet, right now I’m going to put the number aside and just try to get into the swing of doing it. It’s been a little over a week and I’ve managed to go out walking a total of three times…almost achieving my goal.

This is a new week. This isn’t something I’d like to do, this is something I MUST do. If I don’t walk each day, I’m asking for poor health and depression. Walking will help my depression which will in turn help everything.

Please self, for my sake, walk. If you don’t do it for me, you’re pretty much killing me. Please?????
