Learn to smile when having my picture taken

he only just sent it to me today though. I like the smile, it looks natural. Of course I was smiling at him so it was easy.

Over the Memorial Day weekend me and my family went to my nieces high school graduation in Indiana. This picture of me and my daughter(not looking at the camera) was taken just before the ceremony. The teddy bear I’m holding was a mother’s day present from my son, who’s in Iraq. I’m taking the bear everyplace I go and taking pictures of us together and sending them to my son. Over the weekend I got some good ones, even one of the bear “playing” pool at my sisters house.

but not much. I took this last week to show my family my new haircut. It took me 3 tries to get this and then I gave up. Smiling of command just doesn’t work for me.

You would think that by the time you reach my age I’d know how to smile when people take my picture. But I don’t. I’ve been searching my photos and I have these horrible looks on my face in almost all the pictures I have of myself, or I just have this blank expression. Which is just as bad. I never look happy.
