go to the north pole

Youd get to be able to circumnavigate the globe simply by walking a tight circle around the pole.

I suppose one advantage would be you’d save money on maps; a simple compass would do.

And if you lost your compass, just follow the North Star.

...better stick to the North. Its less far to go for a start.

I wonder which pole is colder? Should find out really. It always makes me wonder why these Arctic explorers are always moaning about the cold up there. I mean, I know its pretty nippy but why dont they invent some kind of battery powered thermal insulation suit to wear under the clothes? It cant be that hard. Its the thought of being cold thats really starting to put me off this goal.

Im starting to think that maybe the South Pole would be a better choice. I suppose its more ‘civilised’. Might change my entry…

There isn’t a West Pole is there? If so, why do you never hear about it?

I cant decide whether I’d rather go to the physical north pole or the magnetic one. Maybe both. I mean, whilst Im in the area…its not like theres loads of other tourist attractions around there.
