get the whole house organised

I have to admit, I haven’t been the most organized or tidiest person. But I try. I really do. I have all of the bedrooms already cleaned and decluttered, I will start on the other areas in the new year. But it’s hard when everyone around you clutters and messes behind you. No sooner have you moved onto a new room, than the first one is worse than it ever was! It really gets me down sometimes. My other half is a pack rat and I don’t know what to do about it. If it was just me I am pretty sure I could manage to clear up after myself each day. But with the spouse and kids, well I just can’t seem to do it. And yes, I have tried making them clean up after themselves. They just don’t seem to be able to keep it up. I have tried leading by example, and nope that hasn’t worked either. I have had some success in getting the pack rat to part with some of his stuff. A lot of it in fact. But unless I actually get in there and pretty much do it for him it doesn’t get done. I guess I’m tried of being weighed down by someone else’s stuff.
