I have big plans for the next two years, and I need to get a handle on my meager income to support my great expectations. Plus, I tend to live miserly since I’m not sure how much wiggle room I’m allowed.
To start, I downloaded an excel budget template from here:

since I’m not quite comfortable allowing web sites to connect to my bank accounts. I’d rather do it myself and know that no one else is vacationing with my paychecks. Perhaps I’m paranoid.
Now I’m looking at old bank statements and plugging receipts into excel so I can get a better idea of what limits to set for myself. No more “winging it.”
