Especially when I’m upset, he’s really good at encouraging me to sit.

for the first time in a long time. Noticed how much pain I was having in my shoulder and marveled at how much I ignore it regularly. I always know it’s there, but I rarely take time to focus on it anymore unless it’s screaming for my attention because of something I’ve done or whatever other reason. Still definitely feels tied in to my breathing.
I haven’t been good at doing this on a regular basis. I need to get back in the habit. Sometimes it’s seemingly impossible to sit still.
in the mail the other day. I love it. It’s making meditation more comfortable.
I think this is a relatively common problem, but I’m struggling with allowing myself the time to be still. It feels like an indulgence to take a little time to be quiet. I really enjoy meditating, though, and I am going to persist with it despite the inner critic who says I should be doing a zillion other things.
I am making an effort every morning to sit, even if it’s just for a couple minutes. I am having a hard time with it. So simultaneously, I’m working on mindfulness in a bigger way, by trying to pay closer attention to what I’m doing when I’m doing it. Over the last couple days, I’ve noticed that I don’t often feel things with my hands. I don’t pay good attention to touch. So this is one area I am giving more attention to.
