keep in touch with friends

We went on a cruise for our honeymoon 7 years ago. On that cruise, we met who are now 2 couples that happen to be some of our best friends. We hit it off on the first night and have been great friends ever since. We take vacations together every year. We’ve been on 2 other cruises together, gone to Vegas, rented a house in the Outer Banks together. We try to keep in touch regularly (like every week) but for the past month or so we’ve all been so busy.

Last night I called both couples and we talked for quite awhile. It was so nice catching up and hearing their voices!

My best friend in the whole world and we haven’t seen each other in weeks. Our schedules are different now that her daughter has started kindergarten. I’m going to call her tomorrow to see when we can get together for lunch. I miss her!

It’s been 3 weeks since I said I would call Melissa. That’s pathetic!
I just called and left her a voicemail. If I don’t hear back from her by Friday, I’ll call again.

I’m also going to give Stacy a call tonight to see how her trip to China was!

This week, I’m going to call Melissa. We’re planning on getting together sometime this fall… maybe meeting half way in St Louis for a weekend. I want to get that on the calendar so we actually do it and don’t put it off!

We’re taking a little trip tomorrow to Fort Scott to see my mom’s cousin George. It’s a two hour trip, which isn’t bad and it made his day when I called to see if we could come visit. He’s very excited about it, as are we!

I finally was able to call Catherine yesterday and it was wonderful to talk to her. It’s been at least 2 years since we last spoke on the phone. I feel really bad because I found out her dad had passed away tragically at the beginning of the year.

We vowed to talk more, exchanged e-mail addresses and I already received an e-mail from her this morning.

It’s great talking to old friends.

Next up – Mikki. I will call her before the week is up!

I still need to call her and I had this on my list 2 weeks ago. Hopefully the kids will all be asleep at the same time sometime tomorrow and I can call her in peace.

I didn’t get Catherine called last week, but I did e-mail Stacey and left her a message. I also IM’d with Julie and called Travis.
This week I need to call Catherine and Mikki!

Today I’m going to call Catherine and e-mail Stacey.
