We’re taking the kids to Dr Seuss the Musical tonight put on by our local high school. Should be fun…
They didn’t nap today and Ella has her first cold, so I hope I’m not setting myself up for regret…

My friends Kathy, Sara and I are all going out to celebrate our birthday’s. We were talking about where to go, and kept coming up with the same old things. So, today, I took a few minutes to look up some restaurants we haven’t been to. That way, we’ll get to try out something new!

The Kansas City T-Bones minor baseball team has the best ballpark. It is really family friendly and we always have a great time going there. I’d like for us to go more often.

My friend Kathy and I went to little dive of a place on Thursday for lunch. It’s a burger joint and they sell all kinds of great burgers. It was a restaurant we’ve both driven by several times and we finally decided to venture out and go to lunch there. The kids loved it and we did too!

I think we’ll at least try to hit this on Saturday night if it isn’t scorching hot outside! Sounds like fun!

I went on a girl’s day out to the Legends last week. We had a nice time shopping, even in the heat.
This weekend my hubby’s sister and her family are coming into town. We may try to go to the new dinosaur restaurant at the Legends for a late lunch/early dinner. We also are going to a Wizards game, which will be a first for me.

This weekend we are going to hit some of the local Farmer’s Markets. The main reason is so I can see what the competition might be in the baked goods field. I’d love to start selling my bread and cookies at Farmer’s Markets!

Some girlfriends and I met at a place called the Pie Lady yesterday. It was a cute little shop where you can sit and chat with your girlfriends and enjoy freshly baked pies. I had a piece of French Silk and then took a whole apple pie home to my husband and kids. It was delicious!

It made me really want to move towards my dream of owning a small bakery. I’ve started doing a little bit of research and will continue to do so. Hopefully this dream will someday become a reality!
