and this week I’ve added sit-ups, 100 a day for the past three days. Plus ten push-ups (with the aid of the exercise ball!), a few other ball stretches. And the last two days I’ve also done 50 jumping jacks each day. If I have enough time before or after work, I walk an extra bus-stop or more. So that’s something.
Hope to keep it up, keep adding/varying, whathaveyou. At least do the bare minimum no matter what! I’ve got a morning routine more or less on the weekdays, but the weekends, well…not so routine! But five days out of the week is better than no days out of the week.

but I AM doing my stretches daily. And this week I’ve added some weights (little barbells) and stretches on the ball (even some sort of ball-modified push-ups). I also walk to and from the bus four days a week. I definitely need a little cardio. Maybe time for the hula to come back into play…

Because I am crippled without them. And since I’ve started waitressing I’ve been on my feet and moving around substantially more than at my last couch-potato job. So that’s a plus in the health department…though it’s hard on a body, it’s good.

started my stretches AGAIN. Due to hip hurting. Did them the last three days. What is so terrible about exercise? I need to GET with the PROGRAM or I am going to be rockin’ a Rascal by the time I’m forty. Sheesh.

Well, being sick kinda knocked me on my ass for a while. But I did my stretches Monday, walked on Wednesday, and am going for a walk with a friend tomorrow as well. Just need to put it all back together. Goal is to stretch EVERY day, walk at least five days a week (I always feel so GOOD when I get to breathe fresh air!). Also, I should do my exercise ball at least three days a week, pro’lly every day when I do my stretches. And then add some variety with a yoga class or something once we get to Portland. But for now, just get and keep it going…

I did go on another fifty-minute walk on Friday with RFi, but then I got sick as HELL and have been incapacitated for two days. Bleah.

Well, since last Wednesday (when I quit smoking), I have done my physical therapy stretches EVERY day, and I have also walked five out of the six days (one day I walked almost five miles with a friend! but usually more like one mile). Now I just need to add the therapy ball, some weights, and some yoga or pilates or something similar.

Today I woke up and, first thing, did my physical therapy stretches (I usually put them off for as long as possible). Then I took my friend RFi up on his offer and went for a walk along his favorite route out in East Missoula. We walked 4.8 miles (according to him, apparently he’s clocked it), in about 50 minutes. He said I did really good because we walked at HIS usual pace and he’s been walking this route for more than a year. Crap! I had no idea we walked that far! But I’m glad we did. Wonder if I’ll feel it later?

Yesterday I walked for about a mile, with a co-worker and some clients, in the crisp January air. It felt really good. When I came back inside, I almost felt like I had breathed some mentholatum or something, the air felt so fresh in my lungs. I’m going to shoot for another walk today. Plus I did my physical therapy stretches and will continue to do so, and would like to start on the therapy ball again when there is just a little more space in the living room (we’re going to get rid of some SHIT! Soon, soon…).

Well I’ve been pretty good about at least doing my PT stretches most days, with no more than a day or two gap. And it’s been bitch-ass cold and slippery, so walking outside is not an option, plus I’ve got a nasty li’l cold. But the stretches are imperative, and I’ll keep trying to improve on the other stuff. I was walking laps around the halls at work with the clients when they did their evening laps (before I got sick) and I will do that again when I’m all healed up.
