So I changed my 55 gal tank to a pair of koi. I really like them. I probably should add some plants, but I’m not totally sure about that.
I can’t decide what to do with my 30 gal tank.

I finally planted my goldfish tank. I also moved it farther away from the window. I’m still fighting algae some, and I hope it helps. It looks so nice with plants though.
Unfortunately my black moor died a few months ago. I think I overfed him. My koi is doing well though. My next purchase will be a shubunken and a comet, I think. (as well as a tank background) Hopefully, I will get that done in January.
Presently, I have a 55 gal. tank with an albino oscar and a pictus catfish. It’s pretty much finished, although in the next 6 months or so I’d like to get a canister filter for it. The two hang-on-back filters are fine for now until the oscar gets to his full size.
My other tank is 29 gal. with a red & white koi and a telescopic moor. I’m really fighting the algae on this one because of it being more in line of the window. I blacked it out for a couple of days which cleared it out, but it’s back. As soon as I get plants in there, it should help.
So, my current goals are to:
1. Black out goldfish tank again for a couple of days, then add plants and background.
2. Perhaps add a comet or shubunken to the tank, once I have it aquascaped better and clearer.
