start saving money

can you say “get it together” ?
because that’s what I need to do.

okay its like years later and i still have like….$4.00 in there. okay, not literally. okay, yes, literally. i’m working now, so i’m gonna have to open the ing direct orange account. i’m going to open it soon, once i pay off my credit card (only like $200). then, it’s crunch time.

i’m saving for a car, you know, but also to get a new laptop next year (apple preferably). i am really psyched about having a new savings account and i plan on putting half of of my paycheck into the account and half into the checking every payday. that way, i’m not busting my ass for nothing and spending my hard earned cash on clothes and makeup all the time. i can do this! it’s hard to believe it, but i am actually pretty psyched about this goal.

i opened up a savings account today at HSBC. go me!

my ultimate goal for this is to be able to buy a car when i graduate college and realistically be able to save money for a house, like an adult. i know it seems far fetched now, i’m not even old enough to buy alcoholic drinks. but i want to be prepared for my future and save money for safekeeping and for the circumstances of an emergency situation (god willing, there won’t be). it’s hard to imagine not spending every last cent, when i get paid. it’s like all i can picture is getting my hair done, getting that bag, those jeans, those shoes…but my parents really encourage me to do it, and i’m really going to try. i imagine once the balance gets over $500 in my savings account i’ll feel more excited about it and want to keep adding more and more of my hard earned cash!
