With a past drive to make Spanish the offical language, bills to allow illegal immigrants the right to collect Social Security that I PAID IN TO, many Americans without health care benefits (or affordable health care) and the U.S. sending billions of dollars overseas to aid others, it makes me anxious to leave this country.
I have nothing against Spanish as a language, in fact, I’m learning to speak it, but in this country English has always been the predominate language.
Why should I, my children, or my grandchildren have to worry about receiving Social Security that we paid in to?? I don’t understand how anyone could justify giving it to someone who is in our country illegally, and probably never paid in to the S.S. system to begin with.
Our health care costs are out of control. Doctors and hospitals charge outrageous prices for services ($25 for a bandaid)... and I know this first hand because I work at a hospital. Insurance companies are gradually covering less of health care costs… and with prices like that, who can blame them?
I am all for charity to other countries. But we send billions of dollars of aid to other countries, yet when I drive in downtown Detroit I see many homeless and elderly wandering. Shouldn’t we take care of our own first?
Canada is looking better all the time…
