I used to never have trouble falling asleep. If anything, I would sleep too much and have trouble feeling awake. Now, my body seems to want to stay up all night and sleep all day. I’ve been trying to adjust to a 11pm to 7:30am sleep schedule, but I just keep frustrating myself. I’ve had more success getting my boyfriend to stick to this schedule. He even voluntarily (and unintentionally) kept it last Friday night! Usually weekends are the downfall of our sleep schedules.
I lay awake in bed for long periods of time at night. If I sleep in late the next day, it’s just as bad the next night. If I force myself to stay awake all day (despite having only a few hours of sleep), I STILL have trouble falling asleep the next night. I just don’t get it. Is it the TV my boyfriend insists on falling asleep to? Caffeine? Stress? Our old mattress? His tossing, turning, and occasional snoring? All of the above? ARGH!
