Have a party just for fun.

with this goal. My son’s didn’t like the idea of a joint party at all, which wasn’t really very surprising! Now I’m in the middle of redecorating most of the house so it isn’t really fit for entertaining. The plan now is to finish the decorating and then have a party to celebrate. And there will still be lots of music and dancing.

I usually only have parties if it’s mine or my sons birthdays and then they tend to be small family affairs. So a general party for no particular reason would be a new and fun adventure.
It’s only a vague idea at the moment, but I’m thinking I’d like to involve my son’s and do something between us so that we each invite people and contribute to the fun. At the moment I’m not sure how well the friends of two teenage boys and their mother will get on! But it could be fun finding out. First task will be to ask the boys what they think and what ideas they may have. I’d want to make sure there was music and dancing, all the best parties I’ve been to have had lots of dancing.
