I met a friend for lunch and spent a day with my sister. Rather than phoning or e-mailing them afterwards to say what a good time I’d had I wrote them each a letter. Think my sister will particularly appreciate it since she’s not well at the moment and unable to get out.

by sending thank you cards for Christmas and birthday presents. Next I think I’ll try writing to people I haven’t been in touch with for a while.
One of the nice things about Christmas is getting cards in the post, it’s so much nicer than the usual bills and junk mail and more personal than e-mails. So I thought if I start sending more hand written letters and cards, it might brighten up peoples day and perhaps they might write back to me and brighten my day!
