Furthermore, my creepy employer chose not to follow the law. Worse, because of my loyalty to a friend (let’s just call it stupidity…shall we), I decided to stay because things could get better (HA
Luckily, I saw that boat sinking… after it was full of water (not money) of course. So I quit the repressive job and now must follow my true calling. I’m too old to play around with my career, so now’s the time to get out there and find my passion and go for it whole-hearted. I suggest that everyone else do the same. Life is too short.
Oh…just so we’re clear…I kept the evening job. I’m no fool. I believe in following your passion, but you have to pay your bills, so first get that done while you’re in search of your passion. One could say that perhaps that’s why my cycle continues, but that would not be true. Afterall, I was not seeking my career passion in the beginning. I was just working hard at whatever I did. Sometimes, that’s good but not enough. If you don’t have passion at what you’re doing…you may be wasting time.
