buy a new car

I had a good laugh this morning when I saw a list on MSN of the most “boring” cars. What’s this??!! My dream car, the Volvo C70 convertible, is boring??!! Haha! So be it…I still want one :)

Has 125,000 miles on it. I’m going to try to save $1 for every 10 miles I put on the minivan. If I put another 25,000 miles on it I will have saved, oh, only $2500. Okay, scratch that plan. I can’t afford to save $1 for every mile I drive so I will try for $1 for every 5 miles I drive. That will give me $5000 if I put another 25,000 miles on it. Starting today.

So everyday I check craigslist, or, as my mother calls it, Ralph’s Page (LOL) and I see if anyone is selling what I want. Today, there it was. A black Volvo c70 convertible with the hard top and a navigation system built in! (Which I don’t really need because I have an uncanny sense of direction and am just psychic enough to find my way around anywhere.) True, but I digress, the price is more than I have saved so far. Boo-hoo, and it’s such a nice day for a drive all the way around Mt. Rainier while wearing a scarf wrapped around my tresses just like Grace Kelly. Ah, well, someday… when I can pay cash for it!

I’ve looked over my goals and realized a lot of them relate to each other. I want to buy a new car and I also want to drive around Mt. Rainier in a convertible. So my new goal, which has been with me, just not expressed, is “increase my income”, which will lead to that new convertible, which will lead to that scenic drive! I am looking over my other goals for related ideas. This website is organizing my thoughts! Just what I needed :)
