Well Guess What?  — 5 months ago

I re-opened this goal just so that I could mark it DONE.

Yes it is done.

You know what they say? When you give up on this type of goal, BAM! it hits you!

I can officially say that I am in love!

We been seeing each other for 1 year and 3 months. I did NOT expect this to happen. I only looked at him as a friend and I had my guard up. But he somehow found a way to unplug that icebox where my heart used to be and help replace the heart.

Life is good.

I don't even have the time  — 1 year ago

I don’t have the emotional time
I don’t have the literal time
I just don’t have time to even try to do this.

I GIVE UP! I hate to say it but I do. I think my life will be better and less complicated if I just let this one go.

Men can be so fickle sometimes. The ones I encounter don’t know what the hell they want! They disappointment me at every turn. Even the ones who are “just friends”. I’m just NOT trying with these cats anymore.

I think I’ll be a better person for giving this one up. And from now on…my phone number is off limits to everybody. Even the “just friends”. I just cannot continue to give my time to people who are so difficult.

Words to describe the men I’ve encountered:
  • Indecisive
  • Scared
  • Controlling
  • Inconsistent
  • Player
  • Dishonest
  • Elusive
  • Vague
  • Irresponsible
  • Selfish
  • Fake
  • Confused
  • Crazy
  • Insecure

These words don’t describe one particular man, but a combination of the ones I’ve encountered. I have not yet met one who has all of the above qualities/character traits, but I’m sure he exists as well.

Having this goal was very interesting, but I just don’t want to do it anymore. I’d rather live alone and be happy with myself than to have some semblance of a relationship and be totally unfulfilled and unhappy. I’m just through trying.

I pity the next fool who asks for my number because if looks could kill, I might have to be tried for murder.

A question about this goal:
Who should say, "I love you" first? The man or the woman?  — 2 years ago
I have to date a dozen men  — 2 years ago

MSN posted an article about crazy love facts. According to the article I have to date and reject a dozen men before I find real love. WHAT?

That would mean I have to date a lot more than I’ve already dated. Let me count, F, E, R, H, K, and T, . . . . that’s six. I’ve gone on dates with 6 different men in the past two years. That would also mean, I have to date and reject 5-6 more before I find “THE ONE.

I’m doing MATH here. If it took me 2 years to date 6, it’s going to take another 2 years to date 5-6. ummmmmmm….thinking here…....

I’m 36 now. I’ll be close to 39 by the time I find HIM. Or by the time HE finds me. I’m begining to doubt if I really want to do this. Meeting people and dating is hard work.

I know I vascillate between wanting to accomplish this goal and wanting to give up on it. This is really just one of those times.

I think I’ll continue to live my life, do the Mommy thing, go to work, come home, cook, clean, garden, etc… Just enjoy life and my three handsome men I’m responsible for.

Second?  — 2 years ago

He called me last night to make sure I made it home. While on the phone he asked for a 2nd. Dinner this time. Of course I said yes. hehe

Firsts  — 2 years ago

Tonight I had my first date with Mr. T. We went to see Silent Hill. I must say he was the perfect gentleman.

Firsts are always exciting no matter what the first is.

Tonight was the first time we sat next to each other. He looked really handsome and he smelled good too. lol

Not much to say except that I hope there is a second.

Is blogthings lying to me?  — 2 years ago

They told me this:

You’re the type most likely to find love… surprised?
You shouldn’t be! You’re a fun, independent woman who is always out and about.
And you’re smart to sometimes leave your girlfriends behind and go it alone.
Men love to approach you when you’re out by yourself – including Mr. Perfect!

I guess I should just continue to live my life.

Did I mention I have a first date today?
Well, I do. We met at the skating rink. I’d seen him around before but never met. Then one Sunday at the rink, he asked me to skate with him.

He was so polite. Of course he asked the usual questions after What’s your name? Keala
Are you married? No
Seeing anybody? No
Really? I’m shocked. Why
Blah Blah Blah Blah Oh, I get that all the time
Then you must be single by choice…. Yes, the choice isn’t much really…Not much to choose from… Choice A doesn’t meet my list of qualifications…. Choice B – NOPE….. Choice C – is a playa….So yes by Choice the Choices that I have to choose from

But regardless of the choices out there. I will fall in love with my choice when I meet him. heehehe

Blogthings has this to say about me and falling in love  — 2 years ago

How You Are In Love

You fall in love quickly and easily. And very often.

You give and take equally in relationships.

You tend to get very attached when you’re with someone. You want to see your love all the time.

You’re secretly hoping your partner will change for you.

You stay in love for a long time, even if you aren’t loved back. When you fall, you fall hard.

Why?  — 2 years ago

Why do I even want to do this when I know I could get hurt? Why did I even put this on my list? What the hell was I thinking?
