finally done with this goal...:)

one thing about being sick is that the weight comes off. i haven’t had much of an appetite lately. i’ve been sick with an earache, strep throat & a bad cough for over a week now…:( my voice has almost come back & i am improving but it’s been a long week of feeling crappy…i’m marking this goal as done…

4 lbs gone~

back on track for the new year...:)

i still have 4 lbs to go to complete this goal. i didn’t gain any weight over the holidays but i didn’t lose any either. i’ve come to the conclusion that i’m a stress eater…when the walls come closing in i turn to my favourite comforts foods to cope. i’ve learned a lot about myself with this goal & i have a tendency to use food to manage a stressful day. sooooo i have nothing but time on my side to understand & find other avenues to deal with stress…

i had a fruit salad this morning & a bowl of oatmeal with almond milk…:)

back to basics...

for the past few weeks i’ve made some bad food choices & have been caving into those comforts foods due to the stress levels at work. i can have anything i want at work & unfortunately i’ve gone for the fried foods or comfort foods that are not helping me achieve this goal. even though i have not gained i haven’t lost anything either. so after work on monday i went to the grocery store & purchased some healthy food choices to fill my fridge & pantry with. there is a fruit bowl sitting on my kitchen counter once again as a pleasant reminder to fuel my body with healthy choices. i’m not going to beat myself up over the choices i’ve made in the past few weeks. i’m just going to move forward with healthy steps to get back on track again…<3

still making an effort...

i’ve lost 2 more pounds! sadly i’ve been sick for about 3 days or so with a nasty cold. i’ve had no appetite so i do think that has had something to do with the recent weight loss but nonetheless i’m hoping the 2 lbs will stay off even when i recover & get better..:)

oct 17th 2 lbs lost!!!

4 lbs to go…:)

progressing...

i’ve managed to drop another 2 lbs this past week! i’m proud of myself for maintaining a steady weight loss while working at my job as well. in the past my work load has caused me to cave into comfort foods or eat far too late. i haven’t been overly strict with myself but i have made time for exercise this time around. also i’ve made an effort to incorporate a lot more vegetarian dishes into my diet like veggie stirfrys with tofu & udon noodles which are both tasty & satisfying…:)

oct 7th 2 lbs lost!

6 lbs to go…:)

slowly but surely...

another 2 lbs lost this week! i’ve been drinking plenty water at work & eating fairly healthy meals. i have had a few small indulgences here & there but nothing outrageous. i have no doubt that the squats are helping & the other activities i’ve been doing like yoga a couple times a week…

sept 23rd 2 lbs lost!

8 lbs to go…:)

woohoo...:)))

slowly but surely i’m chipping away at this goal. i was a bit afraid of stepping on the scale this week after having company all last week. we dined out quite a bit but i’m happy to report that i lost another 2 lbs..:) i did try to make sensable choices while dining out with small indulges here & there. if we did dine out we went for walks after & i have been pretty consistent with doing my squats & yoga a couple times a week…

sept 14th 2 lbs lost!

10 lbs to go…:)))

progress...:)

i’m happy to report that i’ve lost 2 lbs. i feared getting on the scale the week after my birthday so instead i decided not to weigh myself last week & simply got back on track with some healthy habits again. i’ve been consuming plenty of fruits, veggies & lemon ice water. on most days i went for my daily walks, did my squats & a couple yoga sessions! i have no doubt that the squats are helping burn those calories…:) lately i’ve been experimenting with plenty of vegetarian friendly meals with tasty results…

aug 25th 2 lbs lost!

12 lbs to go…:)

woohoo!!!

a few more pounds lost this week! i have no doubt that the squats are helping tremendously…:) i was hoping to lose a bit more by my birthday but i`m happy with the results so far…

aug 3rd 3 lbs lost!!!

14 lbs to go…:)))

chipping away at this goal...:)))

4 lbs melted away! a balance of eating well & exercise. i’ve always told myself that not only do you have to change your eating habits but you have to move. i keep on telling myself calories in calories out…

this summer i made a commitment to move more. move more by walking, move more by doing yoga, move more by biking, move more by going for a hike, move more by doing squats…:))) you can consume a healthy diet but in order to melt away those pounds you have to move daily. i read somewhere recently that the brain releases these endorphins that act as a natural antidepressant when your body gets exercise. i always wondered about that amazing feeling after a good hike or workout. i can honestly say that my depression has improved since i’ve been getting out there each day…:)

july 23rd 4 lbs!!!

17 lbs more to go..:)))
