I was able to reach the balls of my feet in a seated, flexed-foot stretch.
Previously, totally unheard of. Go Me!

I have short muscles and long tendons. Consequently, my joints are susceptible to subluxation / dislocation. So my objective in becoming more flexible is to strengthen my muscles by lengthening them, thereby reducing the likelihood that a joint will respond to strain by subluxing / dislocating, because the muscle will take the stress and not the joint.
I am persuaded that this “body build” is the reason members of my family have back and shoulder problems. Really, what they have are back and shoulder problems that have resulted from muscles that are too short or otherwise improperly developed.
Interestingly, my brother is on his own separate path to proper body mechanics and is discovering the same sorts of things in consultation with physiotherapist, etc…
