learn percussion

i will move this goal to the long term list, so giving up for now.

Javier called me today (this is the Cuban fella in Melbourne, who might teach me a bit more) and we had a lovely chat, he seems very genuine and interested in what i do and what my plans are, will get in touch later in the year when i get back from my trip and fingers crossed we can tie something up.
had some sad news about Layne Redomond, who is organizing the Brazil workshops, i suspect they will be cancelled due to her ill health, blessings and best wishes for a recovery to Layne!

thinking more clearly now, and sensibly.
i COULD go to Brazil, making my ecological footprint gigantic, what with the 2 month overseas trip already in Mai/June/July, but i had 2. thoughts.
hooked up with a percussionist in Melbourne and hoping (fingers crossed) that he might do a weeklong intensive with me, that would be just as good i reckon, better for the environment and most likely for my health and hip pocket too!

every time i see a percussionist in action i just want to jump on stage and join in. i have lost all interest in playing my djembe, it is the frame drums, the claves, the mallets that are calling me.
today i found a two weeklong percussion workshop in Brazil, in August. I WANNA GO!
