Keeping a food diary is the one behavior modification strategy that I’m most hoping to teach my clients because it really works. I set a goal to reach a weight of 115 pounds. I’ve managed to maintain my weight between 110 and 115 pounds now since the middle of May. I plan to do that indefinitely. I know that keeping a food diary is the key behavior that will make that dream a reality.

I kept a complete food log every day this past week. I like to get complete coverage because that helps me determine my metabolic rate.
I kept a diary for every meal this week except one. I have been doing well at staying on the Zone diet. My goal weight was 115 pounds and I now weigh 113.2.
I’m still doing well at keeping my food and exercise log. Occasionally I add an entry that says “Not a complete report”.
