We have been together for nearly three years (since high school) and I love him for the very reasons that I sometimes despair if we will ever work out. He is smart and works hard at getting great grades at college – inevitably he is often too busy to spare much time. He doesn’t always seem to measure up to the romantic fantasy people I read and write about… but then who does? I have promised myself that I won’t give up on him… at least until we are free of college and know what we are really like. I will work hard at supporting him and making the time that we do have worthwhile.
