I’ve started a Flickr group to gather images of the wildlife parks in my area of the world (KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa), as no specific group existed. Within the week many amazing images are being posted to the site and can be seen at

I hope that these images will help show what this part of the world offers, especially to those wanting to visit the country, or even be “armchair” visitors.

I’ve had this goal since I joined 43things. Yet this is the first entry I can make.

What happended was that I had some images of the National Monuments around the area I live, but I could not find a suitable group in Flickr, so I started one. I also put out invitations to other photographers who already had suitable images or who lived in other areas where National Monuments were to be found.

Moreover I emailed the Heritage organization to alert them to the web site, and they are showing interest.

In the first week over 100 images have been uploaded. I hope the web site can be of help in capturing images of the (architectural) heritage.
