pass the cpa exam

The books are shut for the night and tomorrow morning I’ll be taking AUD for the 2nd time. I got a 70 the first time I took it. Lets just hope I can get at least 5 more points tomorrow. I don’t feel quite as confident as I did with REG (I gave myself more time for REG-I got a 62 when I took that the first time…I can’t beleive I’m admitting that-embarassing!!) But I passed that one on take 2…I bumped my score up 23 points!! So, what’s a measely 5 points, right?? I CAN DO THIS :)

I’m currently studying for AUD and I’m having a hard time understanding the difference between an “integrated test facility” and “parallel simulation” when auditing through the computer. I’m not using Becker, so I’m hoping that someone can explain this to me in a different way so that something clicks in my brain!!

Good luck to everyone testing in the upcoming window! I’ll be sitting for REG on January 2nd—for the second time. Kind of nervous, but I feel well-prepared. I WILL PASS this time!!

Hey, have you retaken REG yet? I had to wait for my grade for so long that I didn’t re-appy in time and I think I’m going to have to wait until January. But I just remembered that you were taking it this window and I just wanted to wish you GOOD LUCK!!! I know you’ll do it this time!! :)

Has anyone in CA that sat for an exam section in August received their diagnostic report yet? I REALLY want to make another attempt at REG in Nov, but I sure as heck am not going to schedule my exam without knowing where I went wrong the first time!! I guess I’m just looking for some hope that it won’t be long before I receive my diagnostics…

Well, I don’t have much time right now because thanks to all of you I’ve stopped feeling sorry for myself for not passing REG and I’m back to studying even harder than before for my second attempt. You all are so inspiring! When I wrote my last comment, I had just found out that I’d failed REG and was really just venting. I never expected the words of encouragement that I received. I just had to take a couple minutes to get back on here and tell you all THANK YOU!

I got my REG score today. Didn’t even come close to passing! And the worst part is that I didn’t feel that bad about it….in fact, I felt better about REG than I did Audit (and I haven’t gotten my audit score yet—so, yeah, probably didn’t do so great on audit either.) Ugh. How do you get motivated to start all over again? I don’t think I’ve ever been so disappointed. This SUCKS!

Ughh..Only 2 more days to study for REG. I don’t feel like I’m completely ready, but its hard to stay motivated to study!! I think I’m good on the ethics and tax (corp and personal)sections, but I’m still a little shaky on some of the Law…....and with my luck the majority of my exam will be on law.

Argh! So much to remember!!!! And it doesn’t help not knowing if I’ve even passed AUD yet!

I’m nervous and excited all at the same time! Tomorrow I sit for the AUD section of the CPA exam (this is the first section I’ll be taking.) I’ve been studying with a software program that is supposed to be very similar to the actual exam. I hope so!! Its so nerve-wracking not knowing exactly what to expect. I’ve put in a lot of hours studying….I just hope it pays off tomorrow!!!

PS-in 2 weeks I’ll be sitting for REG. Yikes!
