I hate crappy jobs

I have worked in some kind of retail environment my entire working life. I hate retail and it is the only type of job I have been able to get. I want to do something that I love. I am not so sure of what I want to do. I need to decide very quickly as I will be off to a university come next fall. I am leaning towards becoming a counselor but I do not know if that career is something that I would be able to do for the rest of my life. I need to do some serious reflection and figure my life out.
