I didn’t use the computer on Friday.

No computer on Friday or Saturday.
And I didn’t miss it either.
Yay me!
I don’t think I used the computer at all on Sunday…
I can’t remember. But I am pretty sure I didn’t.
I don’t think I used a computer at all on Wednesday. Thursday and Friday I only used the computer for school.
Yay. I love it when I accidentally have computer-free days.
I didn’t use the computer at all on Monday. And I don’t remember using one at all yesterday either. If I did it was for a second to check my school email probably because I have been expecting something. And all this was accidental; I didn’t even plan to have no-computer days like I used to do. I think it’s mostly because I am very busy now. I just get on the computer to do Spanish online homework and check all my emails. That’s about it. Other than here every now and then of course.
I managed to go two days without the computer. Except last night I used it just to charge my iPod for today, which as it turns out, I didn’t need. But oh well. Today I came to the computer with a list of things written down (and in mind) of what I both wanted and needed to do on the computer. I only let myself do those things. It was basically a thorough sweep of all the things I usually do or check when I am using the computer. I did get sidetracked once cause I found this really neat blog. Other than that, I’ve been staying on track and this is the last stop on my list. Although, I did just think of another website I wanted to visit. I think I’ll check in there really quick. I think it’s a very good idea to come to the computer with a list like that. I think that helped me stay on track today and not spend too much time on here, knowing I had a whole list of other things to do, some more important than others. I think I will make that a habit. Also, I want to start keeping tabs on how long I spend on the computer at a time when I use it. I think today I spent more time than I intended, but I had quite a list of things to do. I tried once before to take a computer break one day a week. That didn’t work. Now I am upping it to two. I don’t know why I think the two day break will work better than the one. Maybe because this time I am more determined.
If I spent less time on here, then I would go to bed earlier thereby getting better sleep, and then getting out of bed when I hear the alarm. So many problems could be fixed.
I have been spending a whole lot of time recently on the computer. For two reasons: 1) I am out of school so now I have time to kill and 2) I have a new laptop that I am in love with and I’ve been getting everything on it set up and I’ve been trying to get used to it and just generally having fun playing around with it. Maybe one day I will stop. But probably not in the foreseeable future.
I taped some Chinese proverb or something to my monitor next to where it says DELL to remind me to get off the computer and finish my works on hand and not be greedy for more computer time, reading time, leisure time, etc etc.
I’ve been doing pretty good with this. I’ve wasted a little bit of time this week looking around on Yahoo.com, iTunes, and Yahoo Messenger but other than that I don’t waste a lot of time doing stuff on the computer.
