My slacking... 5 months ago

now means I’m needing to read 3.8 chapters a day to finish by December (I’m okay if I don’t finish by December, but it’s something to shoot for).

So maybe I’ll try to actually read 8 chapters this weekend so I don’t lose any more ground (I typically read more during the week on my way to work)

Finally! 5 months ago

I finished Matthew and Deuteronomy. I’ll move onto Joshua and probably skip New Testament until July, so I can focus on finishing Isaiah.

plugging away 7 months ago

I just updated my spreadsheet tonight. I’m trying to make sure I don’t get too far behind, even if I take breaks from time to time. For me that, means I want to keep the average to 3 chapters a day. The math tonight shows that I’m at 3.28 chapters each day to finish by the end of the this year, which is still pretty good.

Currently reading:
Psalms (nearly 1/3 done)
Proverts (1/2 done)
Matthew
Isaiah (this one is hard for me…I don’t understand most of it, but I’m nearly 1/2 done)
Deuteronomy: 1/2 done

Mini goals: finish Deuteronomy and Matthew by the end of April. Isaiah by mid May.

I haven't stalled 7 months ago

but I’ve been stuck in my some big books.

So I read Jude today just so I can feel like I have another book accomplished (even if it is only one page long).

I wanted to feel triumphant on vacation 8 months ago

so I decided to read something short and fun to add to my finished list. Esther is finished, and Acts will be later today. Hopefully I get something else finished too.

FINISHED:
Genesis
Exodus
Leviticus
Numbers
Esther
Song of Solomon
Jonah
Luke
Acts

Another one finished: 8 months ago

Numbers, you have been vanquished!!

lots of progress! 9 months ago

I finished a few books this past week and weekend:

FINISHED:
Genesis
Exodus
Leviticus
Song of Solomon
Jonah
Luke

READING:
Proverbs
Psalms
Acts
Isaiah
Numbers

Isaiah scares me because it’s such a monster of a book, but I’m hoping that if I plod through it this month, I can finish it when I go on vacation in a few weeks so it doesn’t feel like it’s dragging on forever.

Genesis! 9 months ago

I finished this up on the plane ride on Saturday, which was a great way to do it because I could read the entire Joseph story in one sitting (which is AMAZING!)

FINISHED:
Genesis
Leviticus

READING:
Proverbs
Psalms
Luke

Leviticus - FINISHED 10 months ago

This is very exciting.

DONE: Leviticus

READING:
Proverbs
Psalms
Genesis
Luke

the "whatever" program 10 months ago

I doubt this will get me done in a year, but instead of feeling I have to do what’s listed on a bookmark, I’m just winging it for now. A psalm each morning before work, one chapter of proverbs on the weekend…working through leviticus chapter by chapter, and progressing through genesis and luke on a regular basis for now.
