I’m going to try keeping just a short note about each day (weather, what I did, etc.) in evernote, and save my journal for more deep thinking. But I do hope to keep the deep thinking journaling going at least once a week (whcih I haven’t been doing lately, maybe because I feel like when I open it I should be writing about what I have been doing since I never get around to writing in it)

downstairs to my newly cleaned desk…hoping that when I look through my 43things to see what I can work on (at my desk) it will inspire me to jot down a few notes about they day or the week.
I keep my nice pens down here, too.
There is one weird time in my life that is preserved in these words…and I’m glad, it was a weird time that I would have forgotten so many intricacies of otherwise…but I think of my current life and how much of it has been lost for posterity because I never journal any more.
I think part of it is that I used to do it almost every night, and so I sometimes still try to do that, and then they are boring, and then I stop. My life was a bit more interesting (or at least I thought it was) back in those days…I was single and there was always some drama going on. Now, there is no drama. So weekly is probably enough, but I think it’s important to document who you are at one point in time so you can see how you’ve changed.
