Since I was a kid, I’ve dreamed of Ireland. It amused me as a young adolescent to entertain the possibility that these dreams may have been a past life experience.
I don’t think so, now.
But that doesn’t take my dreams away. Ireland has always been very near and very dear to my heart. Though I have never, a day in my life, set foot on its majestic land.
The Gaelic language is like home though I can hardly understand the words. Gillian was my favorite name when I was 16. In Gaelic it means “youth”.
These days, I’ve forgotten that I know how to dance.. I’d sooner have a heart attack before I danced in front of those I know. But when the Irish lullabies resound in the air, I spin and twist and dance for the music.
I suppose, for a first entry, this might shed some light on why I might want to really see and visit Ireland one day.
