scared to be hurt 15 months ago

i find it hard to open my heart to someone because i am scared of being hurt if it goes wrong. i know it’s not a good thing to do and i am trying to work on trusting other people more but my heart is still protecting itself. i think i am still in love with my x and it’s been a half a year already. i try to get over him but the fact is i carry him in my poor heart still:(
