Considering that not everyone who joined this team reported back, we’re certainly a motley crew from all over this world. Guess that means we’re truly living in a global village, doesn’t it? Cheryl, I hope you’re keeping tabs – would be interesting to know where we’re all from!

However, with my period coming up in about 2 days’ time, my nipples extremely sensitive and my breasts were tender. I now understand why my doc told me the middle of my cycle is better… No worries – next 12th should be better!

I don’t know how many people Cheryl envisaged in this team, but it seems there are more of us on a daily basis! And yes, men also get breast cancer, so it would be lovely if we can add more members of the Martian race to our goal…

My own scary story...

Many years ago, I asked my doctor (a wonderful lady) to teach me how to examine my breasts… And just a few weeks after that, I discovered a lump!
It was benign, but I had it removed anyway, and have examined my breasts regularly since then, but not every month as I should… So this invitation came as a timely wake-up call, especially as I’m now 31 years old and have smoked for many years…

I am in the fortunate position that I haven’t had a mom or a grandma with breast cancer, but I appreciate the important of regular breast exams… I’ve asked my Doc to show me how about 10 years ago, and I don’t regret that for one moment.
Tip… It’s easiest in the shower, having soaped up your hand nicely! Takes about 15 minutes, but can change your life!
