I’ve given up caffeine for Lent… Found that the best way to do that, is to paste sexy stickers on a calendar, one for each day that I’ve done without. So I reckon that would be the best thing for EVERY bad habit!
Made myself a grid template with 42 squares, to use with each bad habit that I want to break, as well as for some new ones that I want to establish.
The worst part of every goal is taking that first step. Maybe that’s all I need – the motivation!

I realised this morning that I was my own worst critic! So that’s a bad habit that definitely has to go! Who needs anyone else to put her down if she can do the task to perfection herself???
So from now on, I’ll think only positively about myself, even if I do stupid things, because I am a great person who sometimes does less great things, as are we all!

According to Dr Ross Walker, a cardiologist from way down under, it takes a month for a new habit pattern to be established in the place of an old one. And one can’t just stop doing “bad” things – one has to replace them with something else!
I have decided to look at the five key areas of my life and replace two “bad” habits in each of them with two “good” ones over the next year! They are:
- Physical
- Mental
- Emotional
- Financial
- Spiritual
I don’t for a single moment think that this is going to be an easy project, but I suspect that by the time I am done, a lot will have changed in my life. And definitely for the better!
