get a tattoo that has a significant meaning

I went into a tattoo shop today to get a piercing. While I was waiting for the piercer to set up, I paged through the flashes. I didn’t find anything I wanted on the flash cards, but I was told that I could get something designed specifically for me. I’m not good at drawing, but I think that a custom-designed tattoo would be the way to go…

I’m not a flowery, or butterfly-ey person, so having either of those symbols on me will not be very significant at all. What I am considering is a chinese dragon in black on my left shoulder blade, together with the pictogram for fire (I was born in 1976), and a black scorpion somewhere in my groin (November).

Those are symbols that I will be able to explain to my great-grandkids many, many years from now.

When will I get them? As soon as I have a place of my own. Why? Because once I get a tattoo, I will HAVE to get a place of my own anyway… ;-)
