Find $100 in change

I found $6.00 on the way to work this morning. People are in such a rush that about ten people walked over it all and didn’t see a thing. I moved in and scooped up my findings.

I move quick for a big girl :)

I found $2.00 yesterday during my walk in the city!

It’s been a while. The NYC cold weather has been kicking my tail.

I found $0.25 during the last week, all pennies. I found them at work on the floor.

I found $0.50 over the last two days! I found them in the train station on the way home from work, at the store and in the street.

Fun notes:

• My hubby came home yesterday and left change on my side of our nightdesk. He found change in the street while out visiting up family and collected them for me.

• There was a fountain around where I work that had some Christmas decorations. The city drained the fountain and was taking down the decorations. There was tons of coins littering the bottom. Enough to make a girl go coin crazy. I didn’t take any because those are people’s wishes, but a homeless guy didn’t have a problem going in to start scooping them up.

• I have been dreaming about find coins in my dreams. Lots and lots of coins.

• I told my grandpa that I have been picking up coins and he told me my uncle use to be same way and he would always find money.

• The most money I ever found in my life was $246. All my friends went to a Chinese store and laying on the floor under the front step was the money. Twelve of my friends walked over it and went into the store none the wiser so I went and scooped it up.

• I wrote a little short story about my adventures in finding change. In my stories the main characters are coins. Each one has a different personality. I will post some it in future posts.

• My co-workers are bringing me older coins.

• The more you look for change the more you will find.

I OFFICIALLY LOVE THIS GOAL!!!!

what a way to start the New Year!

I am back from surgery and it went well.

On the way back from the doctor I found $1.00! I picked it up and forgot about it until today.

I will update my totals tommorow.

I hope everyone is doing okay, enjoying their weekend and preparing for a very Happy Holiday.

You all have found so much money and that is really cool! I think 2007 will be a good year for us to find even more.

I found two pennies this week. I have been sick but found them on the way from the doctor.

I am going to have my tonsils and nasil surgery on Friday so I am out of commission for the holidays.

I will plan to resume my search for change in a weeks time.

I found $0.03! It was a dry week but that’s okay. The three pennies lined the bottom of my pockets quite nicely.

Have you ever wished life had a rewind button?

Today was one of those days.

I just came back from Duane Reade and stopped in to see a friend who worked at the photo studio. I was overly excited and didn’t do my usually scan for dropped change as I do with every store now days.

So I am talking with my friend without a care in the worth and said my goodbyes and took three steps when I heard “Grab that, there’s $40 on the floor’

I turn and looked and right where I had been standing there was two crisp new $20 bills just waiting to be picked up.

The cashiers grabbed and split it amongst themselves.

I don’t feel too bad but wish I had been paying more attention. Could you imagine finding that much money? My friend said I should of said it was mine but why lie?

If it was meant for me to have I would saw it when I walked in or looked down.

That money would of been a sweet additon to the pot…
